JOSE MOURINHO SUFFERS HUGE DEFEAT IN THE HANDS OF NORWIGIAN CHAMPS BODØ/GIMT

Jose Mourinho has faced one of the most terrible defeats in his carrier as a manager in the hands on Bodø/Gimt during the European Conference League.

Roma were beaten 6-1 as the Norwegian champions gave Mourinho a very 'bitter pill to swallow.'

Mourinho was behind 2-1 at the break and after the break he made three substitutions and later made two but it was no match to Bodø/Gimt.

It was the first time Mourinho's side has conceded 6 goals and also it brought back memories of Mourinho being beaten 5-0 by Barcelona in 2010 with his Real Madrid side.

This game was Mourinho' s 1,008th managerial career match.

"I decided to play with this line-up, so the responsibility is mine," he told Sky Sport Italia.

"I did it with good intentions, to give opportunity to those who work and to rotate the squad on a synthetic pitch in cold weather.

"I never disguised the fact we were a squad with real limitations. We have 13 players who represent one team, the others are on a different level.

"We lost against a team who showed more quality on the night, it's that simple."

It is the first time a Norwigian side has scored 4+ against an Italian side in European Championships.
