Danish attacking midfielder Cristian Eriksen has collapsed during a Euro 2020 match against Finland.
The world has witnessed very sad and emotional scenes in Copenhagen after Eriksen collapsed near the sideline.
The star midfielder collapsed on the pitch as he was going to make a throw-in and after he went down his fellow players quickly called for help from the medical team.
It took a very long time for the medical team to try and stabilize Eriksen as his follow players formed a barrier around him to protect him from view
A moving stretchers was sent in the pitch and he was transferred to it and then after UEFA cancelled the match due to medical emergency.
Very worrisome scenes from fans and stadium attendants as no word was said about his condition,
His wife came to the sideline and was consoled by players and coaches. His coach went over to find out his condition and came back to brief the referees and his wife.
Players were crying as well as fans who were in shock and disbelieve as he was attended to and eventually taken out the stadium with his fellow players surrounding his stretcher.
Fans and the football family are waiting for official statements from UEFA and the Danish National team about his condition.
