Former Barcelona President Josep Maria Bartomeu has been arrested with three other people.
The arrest comes after the wake of 'Barcagate' of 2020 that forced him to resign. A successor is going to be selected this coming Sunday.
The arrests came after a raid at the Barcelona headquarters by special financial crimes forces.
Garcagate is a scandal whereby Bartomeu hired I3 Ventures, a communications company, to slander his opponents who included one of the worlds best footballer Lionel Messi as well as Gerald Pique.
