MERSEYSIDE POLICE INVESTIGATING CRISTIANO RONALDO’S UN COUTH BEHAVIOUR AT GOODISON PARK

Merseyside police are investigating Cristiano Ronaldo over an incident as he was leaving the pitch after loss to Everton.

Video that showed Ronaldo breaking a fans phone went viral prompting him to write an apology online.

Manchester United were terrible in that game whereby no players showed no interest in playing the game leading to a loss of three points in the hands of a hungry Everton.

Ronald’s behaviour is unacceptable by any standards and should face disciplinary action.

In his apology he offered a free ticket to the one who was assaulted.

“As players were leaving the pitch at 2:30 pm, it was reported that a boy was assaulted by one of the away team as they left the pitch, “ said a spokesman from the Merseyside police.

“Inquiries are under way and officers are currently working with Everton to review CCTV footage and are carrying out extensive witness inquiries to establish if an offence has taken place.

“Anyone with information on this incident is asked to contact Merseyside police social media desk is Twitter MerPolCC of Facebook Merseyside Police contact center quoting reference number 228 of 9 April 2022.”

Manchester United has acknowledged that there was an incident and they would  “co-operate with any police inquiries.”
