KPL: CEO JACK OGUDA SAYS U-20 CHAMPIONSHIP WILL BE RESERVE LEAGUE IN A FEW YEARS TO COME
Top Kenyan Premier League Management are working to transform youth soccer development in order to make it sustainable by turning the U-20 Championship into a reserve league...
The reserve league will run concurrently with the top tier league in Kenya...KPL CEO Jack Oguda said that the transformation has started by talks with potential sponsors in order to make it happen in 2 years..."We are talking to several people to see how we can work that way out. For us, that is the ultimate target like it happens in many developed countries. We have seen quite some good talent exhibited this year and it is part of our contribution to see Kenya qualifies for the 2022 World Cup" CEO Oguda told Capital Sport...Coaches have also weighed in with ample support for the transformation...It will help reduce "age cheating" and improve standards of the game and players in general.
