Philadelphia 76ers guard James Harden, who missed the final preseason game on Friday after skipping multiple practices, remains away from the team as it prepares for practice Monday, sources told ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.
It is increasingly unclear if Harden will be available to play in the Sixers' regular-season opener against the Milwaukee Bucks on Thursday, sources told ESPN.
Harden, who has sought a trade since picking up his $35.6 million player option for the 2023-24 season, did not show for practices on Wednesday or Thursday before he was ruled out of Friday night's preseason finale vs. the Atlanta Hawks.

Manchester United must use the emotions they are feeling after the death of Bobby Charlton "in the right way", manager Erik ten Hag said on Monday, adding that he hoped his team could draw inspiration from the standards set by the England great.
Charlton, who was a key figure in England's 1966 World Cup-winning team, died at the age of 86 on Saturday. He helped United win the European Cup in 1968 and three English league titles as well as the FA Cup.
"Bobby was a legend - a giant not only for Manchester United, but for football. So his legacy, what he left were the standards, the high standards. We have to live it every day," Ten Hag told reporters ahead of Tuesday's home game against FC Copenhagen.
"(His statue) is in front of Old Trafford, with Denis Law and George Best. He is always with us and they are always a huge inspiration for us, every day and for every game."

Mercedes accepted their punishment after Formula One stewards disqualified Lewis Hamilton from second place in Sunday's U.S. Grand Prix along with sixth-placed Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc.
The governing FIA had reported both drivers to stewards after their cars failed post-race checks on the under-floor wooden planks at Austin's Circuit of the Americas (COTA).
Stewards imposed the standard penalty after both teams acknowledged the measurements carried out by the FIA were correct.
Mercedes had stated that the high wear on the skid pads was probably due to the bumpy track and the race being run to a sprint format for the first time.
That meant a 100km race on Saturday and only one practice session instead of the usual three.

Saudi Arabia said on Monday it was launching an annual Esports World Cup, which will include the most popular games in the world and have the largest prize pool in esports history.
The competition will be held annually in Riyadh starting summer 2024, a statement from Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman said.
Clubs will compete across games from various genres to become the ultimate Esports World Cup champion, the statement said.

Virat Kohli's crafty 95 trumped Daryl Mitchell's rapid 130 as hosts India beat New Zealand by four wickets in a top-of-the-table clash in the 50-overs World Cup on Sunday.
Kohli could not complete the chase but was instrumental again as India reached a victory target of 274 with two overs to spare to maintain their unbeaten run in the tournament.
Their fifth successive win put the twice champions at the top of the table followed by 2019 runners-up New Zealand who tasted their first defeat at this year's tournament.

Red Bull's triple Formula One world champion Max Verstappen won a U.S. Grand Prix sprint race from pole position on Saturday after an early challenge from Mercedes' Lewis Hamilton.
The Dutch 26-year-old finished 9.465 seconds ahead of Hamilton, who seized second at the start and gave chase before dropping back, in the 19-lap stand-alone race at Austin's Circuit of the Americas.
Ferrari's Charles Leclerc took third after being passed by Hamilton at the start of a race that paid points to the top eight finishers.

EAST LANSING, Michigan -- Michigan State issued an apology Saturday night after an image of Adolf Hitler was displayed on the videoboard before the Spartans' home game against Michigan.
The image appeared as part of a trivia question about Hitler's place of birth.
Michigan State later issued a statement on the videoboard, saying the school uses a third party for the content and will no longer be using that company.
