NBA ROUNDUP: 76ERS DOWN KINGS, MIAMI HEAT ESCAPED DEFEAT
Bam Adebayo hit a go-ahead jumper at the free-throw line with 18.8 seconds left, leading the host Miami Heat to a 99-96 win over the Orlando Magic on Friday night.
Magic star Paolo Banchero missed a short banker with 11.9 seconds left. He grabbed the rebound and missed a layup that would have put Orlando on top.
After two free throws by Miami's Haywood Highsmith, Banchero had a chance to send the game to overtime, but he missed a 3-poiner from the top of the key as the ball bounced off the back of the rim, ending the contest.
Banchero led all scorers with 25 points, including 10 in the fourth quarter. He also had eight rebounds and six assists. Orlando's Moritz Wagner scored 19 points off the bench. Miami's Duncan Robinson scored a team-high 23 points. Adebayo added 21 points and 11 rebounds.
76ers 112, Kings 93
Tobias Harris scored a season-high 37 points to lift host Philadelphia past Sacramento.
Harris, who sank 14 of 25 shots from the floor, finished two points shy of tying his career high. Tyrese Maxey added 21 points as the Sixers snapped a three-game losing streak.
Philadelphia improved to 3-7 without reigning MVP Joel Embiid, who remains out with a swollen left knee. De'Aaron Fox led the Kings with 21 points, and Domantas Sabonis added 14 points, 12 rebounds and five assists. Sacramento had won its previous two games and four of the past five.

Jayson Tatum scored a game-high 45 points, including 12 in overtime, to help the Boston Celtics improve their home record to 18-0 by beating the visiting Minnesota Timberwolves 127-120 on Wednesday.
Jaylen Brown added 35 points and 11 rebounds for the Celtics, who set a franchise record for consecutive home victories at the start of a season, originally set by the 1957-58 team. Minnesota hasn't won a game in Boston since the 2004-05 season.
Tatum gave the Celtics a 122-120 lead on a layup with 1:04 left in OT and increased the lead to five by making a 3-pointer with 51 seconds remaining. He sank two free throws with 12.7 seconds left to finalize the scoring.
Anthony Edwards tossed in 29 points for Minnesota, which received 25 points and 13 rebounds from Karl-Anthony Towns. Naz Reid had 19 points and 10 rebounds.
Spurs 130, Pistons 108
Victor Wembanyama recorded the second-fastest triple-double in NBA history and San Antonio rolled past host Detroit.

Wembanyama racked up 16 points, 12 rebounds and 10 assists in just 21 minutes for his first NBA triple-double. Russell Westbrook compiled a triple-double in 20 minutes in 2014. Keldon Johnson added 17 points and Devin Vassell had 16 as eight Spurs scored in double figures.
The Pistons dropped to 3-35 while losing their sixth straight. They have lost 34 of their past 35 games. Detroit was playing for the second time without top scorer Cade Cunningham, who has a strained left knee.

Giannis Antetokounmpo set a Milwaukee Bucks franchise record with 64 points to lead his team to a 140-126 win over the visiting Indiana Pacers on Tuesday night.
Antetokounmpo, who broke the record of 57 points set by Micheal Redd in 2006, also added 14 rebounds. Damian Lillard scored 21 along with six assists. Bobby Portis came off the bench to score 19.
Indiana was led by Tyrese Haliburton, the Oshkosh, Wis., native, with 22 points and seven assists. Myles Turner matched him with 22 points and also grabbed nine boards.
In the second, Lillard hit a shooter's milestone. He tied Kyle Korver for fifth all-time in made 3-pointers with his 2,450th. He later passed Korver and is now nine behind Reggie Miller (2,560), who sits in fourth place.
