Eddie Nketiah, Bukayo Saka and Joe Willock were hailed by Hargreaves after beating Molde 4-1.
"First of all, Molde deserve a load of credit. They came here and tried to play," said the former Manchester United and Bayern Munich star on BT Sport.
"In the end, when the second goal goes in, I thought they were gonna concede another two, Arsenal should win because they were the better team.
"But credit to Mikel and his boys for the way they approached the game, it was a tough one.
"Nketiah was great, Joe Willock was fabulous, Saka came on and affected the game and because they had the right mindset - like Spurs did earlier.
"Then they won this game, because I think Molde made this a really tough game in the way they approached it."
So far Arsenal has a perfect start to their Europa League campaign.
