Photo: Gareth Fuller/PA

Lewis Hamilton as well as Team Mercedes has lost a true young fan due to a rare form of cancer...

Harry Shaw's name surfaced after the Spanish Grand Prix and became a household name at Mercedes.

The young fan sadly passed away June 1 2019 his family said. He was supposed to live up to early May but by God's grace he went up to 1 June.

He was suffering from a rare form of terminal bone cancer called Ewing's Sarcoma.

The family has asked for privacy and refusing flowers but has asked for more research into the rare cancer.

Donations for the support of research into the disease can be sent here: https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/harrysgiantpledge.

It is hard for Hamilton and the team who just lost their non-executive chairman Niki Lauda.

The Spanish GP was dedicated to Shaw and Mercedes sent their car and a trophy to Shaw's home something no other team would do.

Lewis Hamilton called his friend his "spirit angel".
